During the early spring of 2020, the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic caused the U.S. to restrict any type of social gathering. Self-distancing was the order of the day. In response, Chapter 167 started a program titled Ikebana Home Workshops whereby members were encouraged to keep up their ikebana skills and create ikebana arrangements to fill their creative needs. Many home-bound members used materials from their gardens or picked up flowers when they had to grocery shop. The results are shown below—dozens of beautiful arrangements that radiate joy, beauty, and an appreciation for life!
